Feud For Thought

I have many options of what i can take from 'Feud' before I create my re-imagined version, but what I choose to take is up to me. The open world style of the game isn't necessarily what I would want my game to be like. Nor do I particularly like the idea of using Wizards who have spells cast on one another. Possibly something else Is done to the character that initiates the Feud.

One thing that did strike me about the game is how you spend the majority of the story mixing potions in preparation for when you meet Leanoric. Often you see him on a screen and then he vanishes, disappearing before you can get to him. I like this aspect of the game. Constantly trying to track the character whilst preparing for one final battle. The idea of being apart for most of the game sounds quite viable. It reminds me of Jack of Blades from the Xbox game 'Fable' in which you see him at select points, aware of his presence and mystery, yet it's only at the end you face him.

Whats he got to hide?

Another game that sprung to mind was Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime 2. In these games there is a evil version of yourself which is far more powerful. During the story you face-off against the character multiple times at a disadvantage in ability. However, at the end you finally have the tools to equal your enemy and destroy them. I like the idea and am very much considering this element from 'Feud'.
